Nokia at the V&A

Paragon was contracted by the well known London based strategy agency Hyper Happen to design and produce a number of bespoke display units for an installation at the Decode event at the V&A. It showcased the latest developments in digital and interactive design.

Burns National Heritage Park

We have been awarded the contract to undertake the lead contractor role for the interactive, model-making, and metalwork elements of this project.

A new building on this historic site will tell the life story of Robert Burns and describe the inspiration for his poetry. It will house the most important Burns collection in the world.

Little Company of Mary

We were appointed as the lead exhibition fit-out contractor for the Little Company of Mary heritage centre in Nottingham. The vision for the heritage centre goes far beyond telling the story of Mary Potter, a remarkable woman who founded an Order of Sisters. Our workscope involved the internal fit out, interactives, reproduction furniture, graphics and sculpture, and a large and rich etched and painted glass wall.

British Armey Recruit

Paragon was awarded the contract to fit-out, theme, prop, and supply the base interactive units for a range of recruitment assessment units for the British Army. The units were built into 20’ containers to allow them to be taken round the country to recruitment events.

Heron Tower

Paragon Creative has been appointed to theme an aquarium which will be a show-stopping feature in the Heron Tower entrance lobby. The heavily themed tank spans five floors and contains 70000 litres of water. Paragon Creative is now forming an aquarium theming facility in conjunction with Aquarium Design International Ltd.

Cardiff Castle - Firing Line

Paragon Creative was awarded the contract for the main fit-out of Firing Line – Cardiff Castle, a new £1m museum tracing the history of the Welsh soldier at war over the last 300 years.

Discover Greenwich

Paragon Creative has produced interactives and architectural models for a new £5.8m ‘Discover Greenwich’ interpretation and education centre. It has been created in the Pepys Building at the Old Royal Naval College.

Museum of London

The Capital City Project at the Museum of London is a major re-development of the Museum’s lower galleries and educational facilities.

Paragon Creative has undertaken the hands-on and electromechanical interactives contract and also the model-making contract.

Military Intelligence Museum

This museum charts the history of the Military Intelligence Corps. We were commissioned by Heritage Multimedia to produce a diorama recreating the tension of Special Operations Executive (SOE) agents being dropped into occupied territory during World War II. 

Saw Alive

In 2008 Paragon Creative undertook the full theming and special effects contract for Saw – The Ride, at Thorpe Park., which last year had 1.3 million riders. Following the success of this attraction,

Thorpe Park has now opened Saw Alive, a year round live action horror maze. Paragon Creative was again appointed as the main contractor for the theming and special effects. Based on Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures SAW movies, the most popular horror film franchise in history, SAW Alive is claimed to be the worlds’ most extreme horror attraction.

Wild Wild Whipsnade

ZSL is developing a new family-focused exhibit for ZSL Whipsnade Zoo; ‘Wild Wild Whipsnade’. This exciting project will contain enhanced interpretation and interactivity with the animals for visitors. Paragon Creative was commissioned to undertake the interactive and theming elements of the projects, including interactive telescopes to help visitors gain a better view of the animals who are free roaming, new themed entrance signs and a range of children’s hands on activities.

Ripley's Quest

We recently completed the design and installation of a new attraction for the Ripleys Believe It Or Not, in Piccadilly Circus, where we undertook the main fit-out last year for the largest ever Ripleys worldwide. The storyline of the new attraction is based on the theft of the Crown jewels, which have been stolen and secretly hidden somewhere deep beneath the city in a network of abandoned tunnels. The jewels are protected by a series of devious traps and obstacles. The task for visitors is to reach the jewels before the thieves and save them for the Queen! Dropping beams, lasers, smells, rat attacks, shooting galleries and cellar doors all attempt to prevent your quest to reach the jewels in time.

Oxford University Press Museum

Paragon Creative has recently been awarded the contract to update the museum in the headquarters of the Oxford University Press in Oxford. 

The Garrison

The Garrison is a historical site located on a high part of the island of St Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly known as The Hugh. We have created a tactile model of the island at a scale of 1:600 to enhance awareness of the historic features on the site, to provide a visual understanding of the whole site and to increase awareness for visitors with visual impairments.

Lifewise Voting Wall

Paragon Creative is proud to be developing and producing an interactive voting wall for the centre to help the team quantify their successes.

Visitors will be encouraged to leave direct feedback on a voting wall which records votes and transfers them into data which can be utilised for future grant bids, research or evaluating scenarios effectiveness.

Bahrain Monument Museum

Paragon Creative has created stunning interactives to represent pearl diving, pearl evaluation, satellite connections and creature environments. We are also creating an architectural model of the new Bahrain landscape and a decorative fish feature which incorporates a simple yet effective audio-visual effect.

Bank Negara

Paragon Creative has recently completed the full build of a wide range of interactives for the new Kuala Lumpur Financial Museum and Art Gallery.

Sponsored by Bank Negara. The interactives make the subject of the economy both engaging and informative for visitors, explaining complex financial and monetary systems through a range of hi-tech interactives which help visitors to understand the wider picture of global economics.  Interactives for younger visitors have also been incorporated such as designing a bank note using rubber stamps, making impressions of coins and spending a million ringgits as quickly as you can!

Istanbul Aquarium

Paragon Creative has been appointed as the lead thematic and interactive contractor for the new Istanbul Aquarium in Florya. The new build aquarium is stunningly located on the edge of the Bosporus sea. The modern design of the building fully exploits the opportunity for amazing sea views. Ice walls, giant globes and life size ship wrecks are just a few of the exciting environments which we will create.

Hesco II

In 2008 we completed the fit out and theming of a new exhibition gallery at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. This facility, themed as a look out post, was sponsored by Hesco Bastion Ltd who develops and manufactures ‘Concertainer’ units which enables protective structures to be built quickly in war and disaster areas.

Tournament

We have been very busy at the Leeds Royal Armouries, as well as refurbishing several dioramas; replacing tiger’s teeth and elephant’s tails...we have also been working with the Royal Armouries team to refresh the existing Tournament Gallery.

Cairo Children's Museum

We have just been awarded a major project in Egypt at the new Suzanne Mubarak Children’s Museum in Cairo. We will be fitting one floor of the museum and providing display joinery, models, props, murals, theming, replica landscapes, sculpture, electro-mechanical and manual interactives and engineering services.

Henry VIII - Fit for a King

We were the main fit-out contractor for a new exhibition at the Tower of London which displays the most complete collection of King Henry VIII's personal arms and armour ever displayed.

Istanbul

Paragon Creative was contracted to make over 120 replicas objects to furnish the chancel, sacristy, King’s chamber, scriptorium, guest hall and pantry. These replicas included crowns, sceptres, orbs, crosses, candlesticks, chandeliers, lamps, chalices, caskets, horns, cups, dishes, wine jugs, bowls, ewers, gemellions, and wax tablets.

KFC

We have recently re-themed the KFC outlet at Thorpe Park. It is situated in a zone in the Park which has been hit by 130mph Hurricane Annie and a huge 40ft tidal wave. The wave picked up and threw a 7m long Great White Shark through the façade of the replica Amity Hotel within which is the actual KFC outlet. Also an 8m long fishing shack was thrown through the roof and now hangs suspended in the ceiling. The shark, fishing boat, surf boards, replica smashed theming and mock newspaper front pages were all made and installed by our scenic teams.

Afghan Village

Our shopping list was; 3.500 Pashto labelled cans, 1,200 sacks of grain, 50 tin chests, 1,500 Pashto labelled bottles, 4 carcasses of beef, 50 sandals made from car tyres, bicycles, water pumps, market stalls, water containers, lanterns, bundles of clothes, cooking pots, artificial fruit and vegetables, scales.

At the Stanford training area near Thetford in Norfolk we helped to create a complete replica of an Afghan village. The £14m mock war zone recreates the sights, sounds and smells that British troops will encounter on patrols against the Taliban. Its 12 acres contain a maze of alleyways, dusty streets compounds and bustling markets selling Afghan goods.

Liverpool Museum

We have been awarded the packages for interactives and model-making at the new Museum of Liverpool, and the fit-out package for the Little Liverpool gallery.

The new Museum of Liverpool will be one of the world’s leading city history museums, setting the global benchmark for museums of its kind and raising social history as a museum discipline to an international scale.

LTM Children's Table and Architectural Table

We were recently commissioned by the London Transport Museum Education Department to design and create a hands-on craft based exhibit to alleviate ‘half-term boredom’. 

Train of Thought

We have been nominated by SS Chrome Associates to undertake the build and installation of interpretative displays within a new visitor interpretation centre at Pickering Railway Station. The project includes display joinery, models, interactives, props in the new centre, and also the theming and dressing of the platforms in 1937 style.
