Paragon Creative’s head office and workshops operate out of York. This space comprises of 40,000 adaptable square feet, with additional assembly and storage space available for larger projects. Our central UK location provides fast and easy access to and from our facility serving clients world-wide. We have partners in London, Poland, Turkey and the Middle East. We have undertaken projects all over the World; America, the Far East, Asia, the Middle East and throughout Europe.

Many of the Paragon Creative team have worked together since 1986 when, as Heritage Projects, they designed and built the original Jorvik Viking Centre in York.

Over a 7 year period Heritage Projects designed and built over 30 major projects, and created their own technical and scenic workshop facility. An MBO saw this facility renamed as Scenic Route.

Between 1993 and 2006, Scenic Route was involved in over 300 projects worldwide in the museum, heritage, retail, aquarium, corporate, leisure and theme park sectors.

During 2003 Mark Pyrah met Pete Holdsworth, a model maker with a company called Paragon 3D. Over the following three years they created one of the UK’s leading Model making and Interactives companies.

In early 2006, Paragon Creative acquired the assets of Scenic Route and a truly unique company was created. A company that not only made Models and Interactives but now encompassed Theming, Prop Making and Fit-Out services.

In 2008 Paragon Creative was shortlisted in the HBOS/FT entrepreneurial awards.

During 2009 to 2010 over 50% of our projects were export and we see this growing year on year.

With over 1000 projects world-wide to date, our client base is far reaching, crossing many market sectors and industries. We work with architects and design companies, the advertising industry and the manufacturing industry, film and TV, museums, aquariums, visitor centres, exhibitions and the retail sector.

As a company with a reputation for unparalleled quality and unbeatable service we are active members of the Museums Association, International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, British Interactives Group and the Themed Entertainment Association. Over the past 10 years we have won 10 Museum & Heritage Awards including Best ‘Permanent Exhibition’ 5 times. We have also won 5 THEA Awards and 2 UK Tourism Awards.

Paragon Creative is still owned and actively managed by Mark Pyrah, Pete Holdsworth, Stephen Jackson and Colin Pyrah and supported by a truly talented team of over 60 staff.
