Our workshops include; design development, CAD design suites, interactives construction, electronics design/build and programming, metalwork and engineering, CNC, laser-cutting, model-making, electronics, paint spraying and finishing, joinery, sculpting and foam carving, prop-making, scenic painting, mold-making, GRP fabrication and scenic construction.

Our plant includes; laser cutters, CNC routers, spray and extract equipment, routing, sanding and planing equipment, band saws, table saws, lathes, belt finishers, MIG welders, planer thicknesser, chop saws, dimensioning saw, drills, ureathane and foam spray equipment, and CAD design equipment with plotters.

Our team of over 60 multi-disciplined and creative staff include some of the best craftspeople and artists in the industry, with backgrounds in design, film, television, theatre, architecture and fine arts, together with traditional skills such as cabinet-making, mold-making, metalworking and engineering.

These skills are directed by a strong administrative and project management team with many years of experience in estimating, costing, scheduling, procurement, project co-ordination and site management. Our experience enables us to offer the designer, the architect, the building contractor and ultimately the client a seamless transition from concept through to installation.

Paragon’s involvement in design development is growing as schedules compress and it becomes more vital than ever for designers and fabricators to work in tandem to resolve methods, materials and structural choices at the earliest stage in the design development of a project.

The demand for quality creative solutions and the interface with conventional construction trades is critical. Paragon Creative plays a pivotal part in the process of bringing together a new and dynamic group of trades.

We have adapted special production techniques to meet a diverse range of new design challenges. We work with a wide range of materials - from MDF to oak, from polyester to polystyrene, from GRP to urethane, from canvas to clay and from latex to steel. Many materials and mixes we have developed ourselves and are unique to us.

THEMING

A leading scenic and theming facility since 1986, Paragon Creative have built a reputation for tackling some of the most difficult scenic work out there... We are one of the most experienced scenic workshops in Europe and offer an impressive range of integrated services under one roof.  Our work ranges from entire themed environments to detailed replicas, from amazing realistic costumed figures to specialist display joinery, from scenic cloths to oversized props, from artificial rock faces to dioramas and much, much more!  Our team of in-house artists are some of the very best in the Industry, many of which have been with us for over 20 years.

INTERACTIVES

Our interactives are designed and built for safety and robustness. They are expected to work for months or years at a time without maintenance, and have many millions of visitors interacting with them each year.

We are the only interactive company in the UK with joinery, scenic, theming, prop making and model making skills under the same roof. Our interactives are therefore very unique and very special and can seamlessly integrate into the exhibition, scenes and environments around them. 

We have a full time and fully equipped maintenance team specialising in the support, repair and redevelopment of interactives, from a one-off visit to a regular maintenance plan.  We are also often called upon to redevelop and repair others works that are outside of warrantee.

Our talented team of engineers not only design but build, manufacture and install their own works.  This gives a sense personal ownership and helps to create the highest quality in the fastest possible time.

FIT OUT

Paragon Creative is unique in the Specialist Fit-out Contractor roll.  The majority of our fit out work is within the Cultural Attraction Sector and over the last 25 years we have built an enviable and unique reputation within the industry.

Our 40,000sqft facility gives us scale and flexibility and our uniqueness lies within our ability to outsource very little.  Model making, Interactives, Theming, Prop making and  Electronics remain under our control ‘in-house’ creating cost effectiveness and seamless co-ordination.  This is unique within the fit out Industry.

When we blend all these services together, and combine them with project management competence, procurement experience and skilled on site management, we are able to offer you a fully fledged principle contractor or main fit-out contractor package.

Our team of experienced joiners, metalworkers and engineers have had enormous experience of working on projects, ranging from simple exhibitions to £4m fit out projects.

We have invested in the very latest CNC routing and laser machines which enables us to manufacture to the highest level of speed and accuracy. Components are drawn in the office using the latest AutoCAD and Solid Works.

MODEL MAKING

We build models to the very highest standard and finish and have an outstanding ability to understand and interpret your requirements

Paragon Creative undertake architectural model making projects of any size, scale or complexity. From basic concept ‘white card’ models up to fully detailed planning, marketing and competition models.

We can offer advice on the scale, detail and content of the model to ensure it has the maximum impact. As modern forms make increasing use of 3D computer modelling and manufacturing technology, Paragon keeps pace with the latest techniques and equipment.

We also offer perspex, acrylic and glass cases, interactive features, lighting effects, plinths and packing. We have installed the latest CNC and laser cutting technology, and employ highly skilled model makers with years of experience.

We have the widest experience of working with clients from different and varied disciplines including spatial and graphic design companies, architectural practices, television and audio-visual production companies, advertising agencies and interior design companies…..

We make props, replicas, costumed figures, sculptures, animals, awards and models for prototyping, branding, education, entertainment and retail.
