To create a state of the art training centre and community visitor centre in Lymm which includes an experiential safety education centre. A 10-acre area of land has been transformed to provide the most realistic training and development for firefighters as well as an interactive community facility for local people.
Paragon Creative was appointed by CFRS (the client) as a specialist contractor to work directly with the Safety Centre Manager and team in order to design and develop, the exact set works and interactives the centre required to bring its education programme to life.
The completed project covers the following issues; home safety, traffic safety, personal safety all through different scenarios including: the home, waterside areas, railway lines & stations, building sites and public parks and gardens.
Groups will be taken through the different areas and asked to identify what hazards they can see and how they can be avoided, they will also receive information about how to protect themselves from dangers ranging from cyber bullying through to high voltage power lines.
There is a fully interactive burning bedroom where visitors see how a fire ‘develops’ and will be shown how to prevent this hazard and carry out a Home Safety Checks.
Visitors will also see a post-fire bedroom where they'll see first-hand the damage that can be caused by a fire.
Throughout the installation, groups will be able to experience the smell of smoke, the heat of a fire the background sound of a working Police station and even see what happens when you burn your pizza!
