The project was the brainchild of Continuum Leading Attractions of York, who own and operate the attraction. The 6,400 sq.ft. attraction tells the story of chocolate from its roots in the Central American rainforests to York and many memories from York residents and the families who founded the well-known confectionery companies including Rowntree’s, Terry’s and Craven’s. MET Studios designed the attraction’s interactive journey.
Paragon Creatives workscope involved substantial bespoke and themed interactives, including a huge mound of many hundreds of cocoa beans with each bean painted by hand, a replica cocoa tree with cocoa husks and a 3D chocolate wall.
Chief Executive, Juliana Delaney, said “We have strong industry connections with Paragon Creative, and had had for a number of years, so it has been a pleasure to work with them on this exciting project. They have played a valuable role in helping us to bring York’s fantastic chocolate and confectionery story to life in such delicious detail.”
